Open Call 'INTERNATIONAL'

English below OPEN CALL für zeitgenössische Tanz-, Zirkus- und Performance-Kurzstücke im Rahmen des FREI ART FESTIVAL.

Künstler*innen aus aller Welt sind eingeladen, sich mit Stücken von bis zu 15 Minuten Länge zu bewerben. Bewerbungsschluss ist der 19. Juni 2025. Es werden maximal 6 Stücke ausgewählt.

Wir bieten:

• Aufführung während des Festivals am Mittwoch, 17. September 2025

• Stell- und Lichtprobe am Veranstaltungstag

• Sichtbarkeit im Festivalprogramm und Marketing

• Professionelle Video- und Fotoaufnahmen der Aufführung zur freien Nutzung

• Für jede teilnehmende Person (max. 6 pro Stück) einen Workshop-Gutschein im Wert von 50 Euro für das Frei Art Festival, gültig für alle, die am Abend der Aufführung anwesend sind (z. B. bei einem Duett mit zwei Performerinnen und einem/einer Choreografin = drei Gutscheine).

• Die Möglichkeit, einen der folgenden Preise zu gewinnen:

  • Performance beim Dance Festival Malta 2026 (inkl. Gage)

  • Performance beim Detours Festival Brüssel 2026

  • Eine Residenzwoche im Studio Pro Arte mit Unterkunft 2026

  • Weitere Preise sind derzeit in Klärung.
    

Wichtiger Hinweis: Es wird keine Gage oder Reisekostenerstattung gezahlt.

Bewerbung:

Bitte reichen Sie Ihr Projekt über das Bewerbungsformular ein, inklusive:

• Projektbeschreibung

• Fotos und Videos des Stücks oder anderer Arbeiten

• Vita aller beteiligten Künstler*innen.

Wir freuen uns auf zahlreiche und inspirierende Bewerbungen! - OPEN CALL for contemporary dance, circus, and performance short pieces as part of the FREI ART FESTIVAL.

Artists from around the world are invited to apply with pieces up to 15 minutes long. The application deadline is June 19, 2025. A maximum of 6 pieces will be selected.

We offer:

• A performance during the festival on Wednesday, September 17, 2025

• Technical and lighting rehearsal on the day of the performance

• Visibility in the festival program and marketing materials

• Professional video and photo documentation of the performance for free use

• A workshop voucher worth €50 per participant (maximum 6 per piece) for the Frei Art Festival, valid for everyone present on the evening of the performance (e.g. a duet with two performers and a choreographer = three vouchers).

• Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to win one of the following prizes:

  • A performance at Dance Festival Malta 2026 (including fee)

  • A performance at Detours Festival Brussels 2026

  • A one-week residency at Studio Pro Arte with accommodation in 2026

  • Additional prizes are currently under negotiation.
    

Important information: No fees or travel expenses will be paid.

• A project description

• Photos and videos of the piece or previous work

• The CVs of all participating artists.

Applicants will be notified of the results on July 1. A confirmation of participation is required by July 7, 2025.
